HMO - Health Management Organizations

With HMO in place, the insured receives the medical and health treatment from a specified set of tractors and hospitals. The HMO pays your doctor and hospital bills with a co-payment clause. In this scheme of things, the insured is required to choose a network primary physician who will overlook all health related activities of the insured.

HMOs are least expensive comprehensive health care plan and have a minimum paper work.

PPOs - Preferred Provider Organizations

With the PPO scheme of things, you don’t need to choose a physician. However you need to pay extra for availing treatment from a non networked hospital.

POS – Point of Sale

POS plans are very similar to HMOs, but you can avail the services of non network hospitals and doctors by paying a higher co-payment and a small deductible. Most of these health and life insurance plans can be found at one dollar life insurance
