Exercise is an important part of our daily schedule. It keeps the body flexible and in shape. However, in certain cases, exercises might be harmful too. It is essential for all of us to be informed of those conditions.
If you are having a high fever or are down with a bad cough, it is advisable not to exercise. Exercise may elevate your high body temperature leading to heat-stroke. Workouts are a strict no-no in cases of vomiting, nausea and diarrhea. Diarrhea and vomiting leads to excessive release of body fluids which results in dehydration. At this time, exercise would mean further reduction of body fluids as it elevates the body temperature. Until you are entirely rehydrated do not go for workouts.
Do not try to exercise if you have a back pain. Stop doing a particular move if it pains while exercising. In these cases, it is wiser to consult a doctor. Pregnant women, in certain cases are also advised to avoid exercises.
