Poison Ivy Treatment and Symptoms

Poison ivy is a type of plant mainly found in eastern and the central parts of the United States. When this plant gets in contact with a person’s skin, it causes a rash known as the poison ivy rash. The rash normally starts as red discolorations, then bumps and finally blisters form on the skin which are extremely itchy. The symptoms of poison ivy include having red and raised patches on the skin, skin reddening of the skin, tiny blisters and very itchy skin.

The treatment of poison ivy can be got by using homeopathy which stimulates the immune system and Rhus ox 30c which is a good treatment. It is normally not easy to notice a poison ivy plant since it is normally hidden within other types of vegetation and therefore one can easily come into contact with it. To avoid unnecessary contact, a person has to keep their body covered by wearing long sleeved tops and trousers. Gloves may also be necessary when working in the garden. In case of any contact with poison ivy, it is advisable to wash the skin with plenty of cool water as soon as possible.
